A new year, a new book

Happy New Year!

Seven years ago I published my very first blog post, and I'm still in disbelief that today, a mere 2,555 days later, I get to share some extremely wonderful news.

Okay. Breathe. This is very exciting and I'm trying not to hyperventilate. But I've sort of been working on this big project...and now that it's finished...I'm just gonna come out and say it: my book is available for preorder on Amazon!

 Retro Mama Scrap Happy Sewing

My very own book! It's called Retro Mama: Scrap Happy Sewing. This past spring/summer/fall, I *sound of paper bag inflating and deflating rapidly*

What was I saying? Oh yes, I designed 18 super cute, super fun projects and put them all into a single book, with the same kind of instructions and photos found in my tutorials and individual patterns--and--the templates are full-size!

I wish I could put a printed copy of this book in your hands RIGHT NOW, but the publication date is April 10th. You can, however, preorder it here in the US or here in the UK (and the rest of Europe).

Scrap Happy Sewing is stuffed full of sewing patterns for adorable softies, home items, bags, sewing goodies...you get the idea! And every project is made with scraps, remnants, or smaller cuts of fabric. The cover features my patchwork pillow shams, sailor dress doll (squee!), shoe mat, and foxy clothespin holder. I can't wait to share more with you!

I hope you have a wonderful holiday and I'm looking forward to sewing with you in the coming year!

Happy Stitching,
