And then there were three
First there were pear pincushions, next came the giant pear pillow, well now I've gone and made a mini-pear ornament! I adore the wonderful retro Michael Miller Christmas tree prints, and as I've mentioned before, I'm already feeling that holiday spirit so these fit the bill quite nicely. I plan to have pear ornaments available in my etsy shop as soon as I decide whether to sell them individually or in sets. What do you think? They're 4" tall and I can fit two in a box. Three is a nicer number for a set, though, alas...
My favorite part is the ric rac hanger. Love the ric rac. And now I need to go two things:
a) Go shut the back door. Somebody (the kids) seem to think that it's perfectly fine to leave the door open when it's 45 degrees outside.
b) Make a bunch more of these ornaments; I've got lots of Christmas prints and several yards of red ric rac begging to be put to use.
Happy Wednesday!
Kim
Adorable!
ReplyDeleteI really like your tree too!
oooh my kids like to let the warm air in, as many blow flies as possible and then ask me to turn the airconditioner on cause it's too hot! ha
ReplyDeletelove the pears - they are too adorable.

ReplyDeleteHello Kim..I am a seamstress too, and always wish I could spend the time doing what I want rather than the little girls' school dresses that I am always asked to make. It looks like you have so much fun!!! So creative! Quick question for you, though hardly a fair one: where do you get your patterns? Especially, at the moment, the little pear and the bib? You don't have to tell me--they are yours after all. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, everyone!
ReplyDeleteI draft all my own patterns (including the pears and bibs) unless I mention where the pattern came from in my post (like the Emmeline apron) :) I would loooove to figure out a way to share my patterns with others. Hopefully someday!
an idea for the pear ornament: why not make a partridge, and sell a partridge and a pear together?:)
ReplyDeleteYour pears are the most fabulous things I've seen! They are wonderful! Im also a mom to two bee boppin boys :D
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your work.....the pears are especially adorable....
ReplyDeleteAre you making your pear pin cushion pattern available?
ReplyDeleteI do indeed plan to offer my pincushion pattern for sale...I'll keep everyone posted!
